Charlotte Grubb

I am a local resident with over 20 years experience as a primary school teacher. I was Deputy Head of an outstanding school in London and have thoroughly enjoyed working with children of all ages.  After having three children of my own, I struggled to find suitable childcare provision.  I decided to focus my own career on the magical, early years and set up The Crown Nursery.  I am proud to offer our community a setting that provides children with a welcoming, exciting space to grow, play and learn.

I have worked in nurseries for many years, both as an Early Years Educator and within management roles.  I prioritise building close relationships with the children in my care, in order that they quickly feel safe and happy and are best prepared to develop and learn.  I am passionate about supporting young children to explore a range of learning environments both indoors and outside and enjoy using my observations of children at play to ensure provision engages and enhances all little learners.

Early Years Educator

After exploring a career in retail, I decided to follow my heart and requalify as an Early Year Educator.  I am absolutely delighted with my decision, as thoroughly enjoy every single day as a nursery practitioner.  I love seeing happy smiling faces skipping into nursery every morning and the children's joy when they achieve something they initially found challenging.  I plan fun and exciting provision, based on children's next steps, to support and promote their development and to help them develop a love of learning.

I live locally and have two children of my own.  I was a primary school teacher in Albania for many years and since residing in the UK I have worked primarily in nursery schools.  I thoroughly enjoy supporting young children with their development, ensuring they gain the best possible start in life and are able to fulfil their potential.
