MEET THE TEAM

Charlotte Grubb
Managing Director

I am a local resident with over 20 years experience as a primary school teacher. I was Deputy Head of an outstanding school in London and have thoroughly enjoyed working with children of all ages.  After having three children of my own, I struggled to find suitable childcare provision.  I decided to focus my own career on the magical, early years and set up The Crown Nursery.  I am proud to offer our community a setting that provides children with a welcoming, exciting space to grow, play and learn.

Meenakshi Gupta
Room Leader and SENCO
I worked in finance for many years and retrained as a teacher in 2019, once both my own children were away studying at university.  Since then I have have worked in early years settings, gaining valuable experience on how to best support young children's development.  I have a particular interest in ensuring I adapt practice and provision to meet the needs of all learners and thoroughly enjoy my new role as SENCO; supporting our whole staff team to do the same.

After exploring a career in retail, I decided to follow my heart and requalify as an Early Year Educator.  I am absolutely delighted with my decision, as thoroughly enjoy every single day as a nursery practitioner.  I plan fun and exciting provision, based on children's interests and next steps, to support and promote their development and to help them develop a love of learning.

I have worked in nurseries since leaving school and have obtained both Level 1 and Level 2 Early Years Educator qualifications.  I particularly enjoy supporting our youngest little learners, providing new and interesting resources for them to explore and experiment with.  I work hard to build strong relationships with the babies I care for and with their parents, to ensure we work closely together to best support each child's sense of well-being and development.

Paula Capocciama

I have always cared for young children and previously worked for a local family for over 20 years, helping them to raise their four beautiful children.  Both my own daughters trained as Early Years Educators and I joined them in 2022 at The Crown Nursery.  I have a calm and caring nature and enjoy supporting children to develop strategies to self-regulate.  I model skills of communication carefully, helping children to develop their own understanding and use of language.  I am thoroughly enjoying my new role as a nursery practitioner.

Jade Chard
Early Years Educator

I have worked in the early years sector for a number of years.  I understand how children learn and develop and enjoy designing a range of activities to suit the needs of all our little learners.  I particular enjoy encouraging young children to explore the natural environment,  where they often feel more relaxed and confident.  This enables me to support children to develop and sustain their thinking, exploring a range of ideas and testing their concepts. It also enables us to have a lot of healthy, active fun!
